Invensys – Summer Party

Client and Objective

Invensys is a global technology and controls group focusing upon industrial automation, rail transportation and controls. London Quest were commissioned to organise their summer party.

The Quest

Starting from their offices in Victoria the 65 strong group were introduced to their Quest by an art fanatic Mr Allen. He entered their office and immersed the employees into his world and their narrative. The group was divided into teams and they each received packs with information about the characters. With a fresh look upon the world they took off into afternoon sun.

With a template and critique on a new art exhibition in hand they managed to make their way to St James Park, where they were met by a hamper filled with delights for their lunch. After spreading out under the bandstand they had to solve clues and locate a private investigator who was hidden close by.

The private investigator furthered their knowledge of their new world and gave clues based on art, poetry, poker and misdemeanor. Teams travelled to St James Square, The National Gallery, Hungerford Bridge, Horse Guards parade and finally finished in the Albannach in Trafalgar Square. Their objective had been to uncover stolen pieces of art.  A busker, historian and the art critic all had a different take on the story, and helped as much as they could.

After piecing together all their knowledge the teams had to present their findings and their interpretations in front of their colleagues.

The Quest provided the perfect opportunity for employees to bond in an informal environment while enjoying themselves and meeting those they may not speak to on a regular working day.
