2. Admirals, artists and authors – The West End

Starting by Charles I statue, the point to which all roads to London lead. The group will meet Nelson, who stands self-importantly gazing towards his fleet. Groups will move on to theatre land via the motivations for Hogarth’s Gin Lane and on to the actor’s church. The Royal Opera house, Dickens and the Old Curiosity Shop, the architect of the Bank of England and finally Staple Inn, one of the finest examples of 16th century architecture left in the city.
